This project began as REDD worked with plant personnel at a natural gas facility in Southwest Wyoming to design and specify a flare system for the off gas from the plants storage tanks.  Through process modeling and discovery, it was determined that though the flare would help, the root problem was that the existing slugcatcher was undersigned.

REDD analyzed the main couponents of the system, slug catcher, stabilizer, and flare as a system in order to properly size the slug catcher and flare. This ultimately led to a lower flow going to the flare and allowing for future expansion.
