LEAD CADD DESIGNER

REDD is currently seeking an experienced Lead Designer with a broad skill set in industrial mechanical design and CADD. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications and experience (10+ years related experience) required include the following:

  • Mechanical Drafting and Piping Design Experience
  • Competency in the following software programs:
                      AutoCAD 2012 
                  CADWorx
                  MicroStation a plus
                  Inventor a plus 
                  AutoCAD Illustrator a plus
                  AutoCAD P&ID a plus
  • Communicate current work load and estimate time for creating drawings.
  • Make changes to existing drawings according to mark-ups.
  • Organized.  Ability to keep project files and correspondence current. 
  • Ability to see three dimensional parts in two dimensions.  
  • Key member of project design team, works closely with checker and project managers. 
  • Self-critical of own work. 
  • Ideal candidate will thrive in a high-energy environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and Draft Redlines of: P&IDs, PFDs, Piping Plans & Els, Piping Layouts and Isometrics, GAs, Civil/Structural, Basic Electrical, 3D Models
  • Train and develop less experienced drafters and designers
  • Manage small drafting and design projects
  • Coordinate design tasks with engineers
  • Field walkdown of P&IDs and Piping
  • Some travel required
